Representative Cases
Represented former president of corporation sued by investor for violating a restrictive covenant by opening a business selling similar products. Virginia Supreme Court ruled in favor of former president finding that restrictive covenant was unenforceable on the grounds that it was broader than necessary to protect the corporation's business when the impact of all restrictions were considered in their totality.
Represented civilian employee in discrimination case working for Army at Fort Monroe in Norfolk, Virginia. Jury in federal court found Army discriminated and retaliated against employee by terminating her for seeking to promote more opportunities for herself and other minorities at the base. Employee awarded over $500,000 in compensatory damages and attorney's fees.
